Anglo-Kabarda Horse

The Anglo-Kabarda is a breed of half-blood saddle horse derived from crosses between English thoroughbred horses and Kabardian, originating in the mountains of Caucasus.

The breed was developed in the 1920s and 1930s to produce a faster horse, faster than Anglo-Kabarda horsethe Kabardian, yet adapted to the climate of the Russian region of North Caucasus, and capable of moving on land.

Apparently, the race is much closer to the English thoroughbred than Kabardian and is used as a saddle horse in the Caucasus Mountains. It is also mounted to the tests equestrian in the Olympics.

To be considered as the Anglo-Kabardian, the animal must be between 25% and 75% Thoroughbred blood England.
