Frederiksborg Horse

Frederiksborg horse is a horse that comes from Denmark. During the late 1500s and 1600s it was a popular and classical riding school horse. The breed was named by Frederick II, who created the breed of Frederiksborg Horsethe royal stud Fredriksborg. The breed has a good temperament; it is lively and usually is a chestnut color. It is a strong, exceptional horse with big spending and a strong back.

History

The source material for Frederick bourgeois were Spanish horses crossed with various Italian and French horses. It is also from various semi horses from England, including the Norfolk trotter who was a trotting horse and Franches which is now extinct. They refined the breed with the help of Arab thoroughbreds.

These horses from the Fredriksborg stud were launched by the Danish King Frederick II, who used them to refine other races such as the Danish Jutland Heavy Draft horse. One of the most famous stallions exported was Pluto, born in 1765.

He later became the ancestor of the Lipizzanerlinje that bears his name. Frederick bourgeois became popular throughout Europe, because the horse was proud and gave the rider the right seat, which made him look like a real hero.

This led to the breed almost disappearing because of being exported too much. Almost all the horses were sold and there were no breeding horses in good quality maintained at stud and royal studs forcing them to close in 1839. But breeding was continued at private stud farms in Denmark.

The horses were bred with horses of the chariot of a bit lighter type. At this time the fuxfargen were well established in the breed, and no other colors were allowed. There are still Frederiksborg horses in Denmark, but the old style, which was an excellent classical riding horse, is relatively rare.

Attributes

Although the original Frederiksborg petitioner was designed as a riding horse in such wars, the Frederiksborg petitioner was now very popular as stately carriage horses thanks to their high movement which was usually described as strong. Recent breeding seems to be going back to the original, strong and smooth riding horse with a beautiful rose.

The breed is becoming more and more popular in academic riding, but is equally suited for jumps on the racetrack. Frederiksborg petitioner is a medium sized horse with a well-formed, expressive head, long neck and a medium neck. All colors and characters are accepted.
