Temperament and color

Cold-blooded horses are those of quiet temperament, usually this kind of heavy breed of horse are the Percheron, Clydesdale, and so on.

Warm Blood horses: they are commonly known as “Warmblood” breeds and are the results obtained from breeding cold blooded and warm blooded horses.  They are both docile and quiet and as well as agile and light.  The best Temperament and colorknown are those of German origin (Hanoveriano, Westphalian, Trakener, etc.), But there are warmbloods from other countries.  These horses are alert and of a nervous temperament. Two characteristics of the breeds of this type of horse are Arabic and English Thoroughbred.

Horse colors

When we speak of colors we distinguish colors in the mane and tail, and if it changes color when young.  The main layers are the following, although there are many variations of each:
Thrush: It is not completely white, but a mixture of white hair, gray and black.  Depending on the dark tones and its distribution, there are different types. Born black or ages darker over time.  Below the white hair you can see that the skin is black.
Castano, Zaino or Mulato: dark brown, sometimes almost black. Black mane and tail.
Bayo: White yellowish.
Palomino: clear brown, mane and tail white or clear.
Alazan: body hair light brown or reddish hue, known as “Judas.”
Roane: hair color may range from sorrel to black or white, with different tones.
Appaloosa: There are many varieties of this layer, but the area is a common trait, which may be mottled. It may be white on brown background, dark, etc, or black, brown on white. Also called apalousa or beaten.
Pia: coat of two colors (rarely three) in the form of spots. White and black (black peep), white and red (sorrel tweet, etc). There are many types (Tobiano, and so on).
White layer is hard to find. The entire body must be white, with no other tone.
Black: black color layer. Individual white feet and head.
Albino: layer but is not a genetic defect passed on to offspring. They are lacking a gene responsible for metabolizing the amino acid tyrosine, whose cascade of chemical reactions produce the pigment melanin.  The lack of melanin produces white horses with red eyes, which is hypersensitive to light. Horses with partial or complete albinism (Tobiano partially albino) are not used as breeders and are considered defective.
Isabelo: Body cream colored mane and tail and a darker color, but is different from a horse that has a berry layer.
A uniform layer is one that has no hair of another color.

Manchas
White spots in layers more or less dark. Highlighted in the head and extremities. The types of stains are:
Head
Faced: In front of the face completely white, including the region of the eye.
Bar: With a white snout to the eyes may be more or less wide.
Careta: With a white patch that is widening from the forehead to the muzzle.
Court: With a white patch on the snout.
Lucero: With a white patch on the forehead, which may be diamond-shaped, half moon shaped, cross shaped, etc.
